5 Ways to Make Your Chiropractor Appointments Last!

Right now we are staying home for our health and safety. As much as we love to have you into the office, we are looking for ways to help you make your chiropractic appointments last longer so you can keep your trips outside the house to a minimum.

  1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER: To stay healthy, it is recommended that you drink at least half you body’s weight in OUNCES of water per day. That can vary depending on what you are doing that day. Water allows your body to heal and to shed any toxins that were released during your chiropractic adjustment.
  2. STAY ACTIVE: We know that in times like these, it can be easy to sit on the couch and binge watch Tiger King. Sitting all day can cause a lot more stress on your joints than you realize…especially if you aren’t sitting correctly. We aren’t saying you should train for a marathon, but follow what is healthy for you and maybe take a walk or stretch. Get up at least once every hour and get moving. Netflix will be there when you get back.
  3. WATCH YOUR POSTURE: Little things you do can help you stay upright. For example, stop sitting on your wallet or your leg! When you put a wallet in your back pocket or sit on one leg, you are lifting one side of your hip, higher than the other. That can knock you out of alignment when you are sitting down which can send you right back to me.
  4. GET PLENTY OF REST: You have heard this a million times but it’s true. Most people need a full 8 HOURS of sleep to be well rested. Sleep is known to be linked to heart health, muscle recovery, brain function, our emotional well-being and more. Getting a full nights rest and sleeping in a position that is great for your alignment!
  5. ASK DR.MEHR: I am here to support you and your health. Whether or not we are open, we monitor our messages and our emails so that we may better support you. If you need help, reach out. We are here to help you.

In times like these we need to stick together and take care of one another. We appreciate you trusting us with your care and we hope to see you soon. But not too soon!
